Cool & Collected has been specially formulated for horses and ponies at rest or in light to medium work. It is high in fibre and low in starch and sugar, making it ideal for horses and ponies that tend to become fizzy on traditional mid-range energy feeds. Being fibre and oil based, Cool & Collected provides slow release, stamina giving energy.
Cool & Collected is particularly beneficial anywhere you need a calm and composed horse or pony. During our trials of Cool & Collected, we had some fantastic results with regard to behaviour; horses fed Cool & Collected showed much less unwanted behaviours such as spookiness, fizzy behaviour and windsucking, compared to when the same horses were fed a medium starch feed.

Veteran Vitality has been specially formulated for horses and ponies from the first signs of ageing. It contains a good calorie level to help with weight maintenance along with all the nutritional requirements for optimum health in older horses and ponies. Once soaked it forms a soft mash making it very easy for any horses with dental problems to chew. Veteran Vitality is high in fibre and low in starch and sugar making it ‘kinder’ on the digestive system. A special blend of premium grade herbs are included, such as mint, nettle, dandelion and fenugreek, which also make it highly palatable, even to fussy feeders!

Compete & Condition is a high calorie/energy feed for horses and ponies that need to put on or maintain weight and condition. It is also ideal for competition horses and ponies, or those in higher levels of work.
Being whole cereal grain and molasses free it is higher in fibre and lower in starch and sugar than traditional conditioning feeds. The energy that Compete & Condition supplies comes from its high fibre and oil content which is an excellent source of slow release, stamina giving energy.
Compete & Condition contains a good level of high-quality protein sources, which alongside exercise, provides the horse with the building blocks for top line development and maintenance. It is a balanced feed that, when fed at recommended amounts according to body weight and workload, will provide the horse with a fully balanced diet inclusive of essential vitamins and minerals. It also contains a probiotic and a blend of prebiotics for healthy digestion and added linseed – a good source of Omega 3.
Why has the name changed?
When Calm & Condition launched in 2001, it provided owners with an alternative to the high cereal content, high starch and sugar competition feeds available on the market at the time. Quickly becoming a very popular choice, Calm & Condition fell into the low starch and sugar bracket for competition/conditioning feeds. As our understanding of horse’s dietary requirements has developed, and feeds have moved towards high fibre, very low starch and sugar, Calm & Condition’s place in the market has shifted from our only high-calorie, low-starch feed to one better suited for horses in higher levels of work. Due to these reasons, to ensure owners select the most beneficial feed for their horses, we have renamed Calm & Condition to Compete & Condition- the same great feed, but with a new name.
